Cameroon: Jean Paul BRICE AFFANA

UESF Representative

Jean Paul Brice Affana is also the Master Peace Cameroon National Coordinator, the Rio+20 Global Youth Music Contest Global Coordinator as well as One Young World Ambassodor. Jean Paul is the Coordinator of Vital Actions for Sustainable Development (AVD), a youth green NGO that he founded in 2008 and aimed at educating people on eco-citizenship, climate change and sustainable development with children and youth participation. Jean Paul is also works with the African Youth Initiative on Climate Change and the UNICEF Youth Climate. He is working very closely with the UNFCCC and IPCC Focal Points in Cameroon.

South Africa: Ella BELLA

UESF Representative

Ella Bella is an Educational Officer at Miss Earth South Africa where she heads various educational programmes for their greening initiatives around South Africa. She has taught in several countries around the world, Cambodia; Swaziland; Botswana and the Philippines. Ella is also the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) – TUNZA Ambassador for Southern Africa, a capacity in which she has initiated several school Tree Planting Programmes for the UN’s „Plant a Billion Tree Campaign“ and the „Seal the Deal“ support drive.

Egypt: Passant Mahmoud

UESF Representative

Passant Mahmoud also works for UNHCR and OXFAM. She holds a Master degree student in political sciences, Faculty of Economics and Political sciences from Cairo university.


New Zealand: Simon Matafai

UESF Representative

Simon Matafai is a musician and the first Pacific Island Youth Delegate to represent New Zealand, Samoa and Commonwealth Nations at various United Nations Summits around the world. Simon is also a youth columnist.

Priti Rajagopalan is a British Council climate champion and an environmental reseacher from India and has worked in bot India and Bangladesh. She is interested in policy of climate change as well as grassroots education.

India: Suresh MORE

UESF Representative

Suresh More is the founder and President of Zest Youth Movement, an organization dedicated to empowering and inspiring youth. He represented INDIA at national and international meetings and has participated in UN MDGs programs‘ events at state, national, international levels. More’s work profile also include Youth Related issues (Employment, Education, poverty, diseases. He is the Regional coordinator for RIO+20 GYMC (Asia And Middle East), Director of Falcon Movement Association, Pune ,India, and a teacher at Sinhagad Institute, Pune. More about UESF, “I am confident and competent to discharge my duties to the best of my abilities, I am willing to take various challenges, assignments for the growth of this organization.”

Pakistan: Anam GILL

UESF Representative

Anam Gill is a journalist and Outreach coordinator for the Rio +20 Global Youth Music Contest. She has contributed articles to The News International, Dawn Group of Newspapers and The Express Tribune. Anam also worked as Content and Outreach Coordinator for Forgotten Diaries; Interactive Resource Centre as a Program Associate. She was member of International Jury 2011 for the Youth Video Competition known as Plural+ of United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.


Hungary: Aniko SZALAI

UESF Representative

Aniko is a lecturer at the University of Szeged Faculty of Law, International and European Law where she teaches Public International Law, Law of International Organizations, Model United Nations, Law of the European Union. She is also a member of the Law Association (ILA) of Hungary; Hungarian United Nations Association (H-UNA) – member of Governing Council and the Academic Council on United Nations System (ACUNS)


Brazil: Marcio NERY

UESF Representative

Marcio Nery graduated in Physical Education, post-graduated in children and youth education and holds a MBA in Sports Management. He is the Youth Program Director at the YMCA SAO PAULO/ BRAZIL, responsible for all youth empowerment policies at the YMCA and also responsible for a youth program called YMCAlíderes created by Latin America and Caribbean Alliance of YMCAs, in order to develop leadership and citizenship skills.

Mexico: Constanza GOMEZ MONT

UESF Representative

Constanza Gómez Mont is the co‐founder of a NGO called “PIDES” (Integral Platform for Sustainable Development) that develops projects supporting youth empowerment and sustainability. Her NGO is currently coordinating a national youth mobilization platform on sustainability and a leadership program called “I, YOUTH”. Their goal is to catalyze youth leaders to transform rhetoric into action regarding sustainability.
